How to Play Vector Hexagon

The controls are one axis: rotate left or right. Everything else is reading the walls.

• Keyboard: steer with the arrow keys or A / D. Press Space to retry instantly, Backspace for the menu, and M to mute.
• Touch: tap and hold the left or right half of the screen to rotate that way.
• Mouse: hold the left or right side of the play field — handy on trackpads.

A fullscreen button is available where the browser supports it, and your mute preference is remembered between visits. Watch out mid-run: the arena itself morphs between a square, a pentagon and the full hexagon, changing how many lanes you have to think about.

Climb the Tiers: Hexagon, Hexagoner, Hexagonest

In Climb mode you face three difficulty tiers — Hexagon, Hexagoner and Hexagonest — each faster, tighter and more twisted than the last. Survive 60 seconds and the tier is cleared; the game announces the next tier and pushes you straight into it. A progress ring around the edge of the screen shows how close you are to the clear. Start on Hexagon for the full climb, or jump straight to a harder tier if you have the nerve. Clear Hexagonest and you have beaten the game — few players ever do.

Endless Mode & Global Leaderboards

Endless mode removes the finish line: there is no 60-second clear, and the speed keeps ramping forever. It is the pure survival test, with its own separate best times. The high-scores screen has two tabs — Local, your personal bests on this device, and Global, a worldwide leaderboard with a board for every mode and tier combination. Jump to the top, page through the rankings, or hit "around me" to see exactly where your best run lands against the rest of the world.

Signature Wall Patterns

Beyond the procedural chaos, Vector Hexagon mixes in hand-authored set-pieces whose names flash on screen as they begin: the Spiral Staircase, the hypnotic Pendulum, The Bait (a comfortable rhythm that snaps to the opposite side, fast), Twin Helix, the breath-holding Pinch and the fake-out Ladder Reversal. Learning to recognise each signature by name — and by shape — is half the skill ceiling.

Earn 31 trophies across four tiers — 15 bronze, 10 silver, 5 gold and 1 platinum. They range from surviving your first ten seconds to threading a wall by a hair, stacking twenty close calls in a single run, winning a full climb from Hexagon, and finally the platinum "Vector Master" for unlocking everything else.

Tips for Survival

• Look at the gap, not the wall. Your eyes should always be on where you need to be next.
• Small taps beat long holds. Overshooting the gap kills more runs than slow reactions.
• Use the whole rotation. Sometimes the short way around is blocked — commit to the long sweep early.
• Learn the signatures. When "The Bait" flashes up, expect the snap to the opposite side.
• Play with sound on. The field pulses in time with the soundtrack, and rhythm helps timing.
